Philadelphia Indemnity faces lawsuit as union claims $175k shortfall

The trustees for a number of profit funds of Plumbers Native Union No. 200 allege they’re owed no less than $174,492.46 for work carried out by ARA Plumbing Corp. on the Nassau County Household and Matrimonial Court docket – Section II Undertaking. These funds embrace welfare, pension, trip, supplemental vested annuity, further safety advantages, and apprentice coaching funds. The grievance states that ARA Plumbing, a subcontractor, was required to pay fringe profit contributions and remit working dues and assessments deducted from staff’ wages, as set out in its collective bargaining settlement with the union.
